Our new 5 day course format for 2020!
Thanks to improvements in our workshop facilities we are now able to deliver our celebrated Bespoke Frame Building Course across 5 days. We are increasing our tooling capability allowing us to more efficiently undertake some of the more repetitive elements of the production processes. Build your very own bespoke bicycle frame and learn what goes into the process.
Students looking to learn about the specific elements of frame building potentially with a view to doing more of it after graduating from the course
There are no prerequisites. It will suit complete novices or experienced builders as we can tailor the content to suit your specific skills and experience.
We teach this course 2:1 full time over 5 days - Monday to Friday. Some of the theoretical components of the course may be delivered 4 students to 1 teacher.
Build your very own bespoke steel bicycle frame in 5 days. With the first 2 days covering key skills and design and the following 3 focused upon building your frame you’ll learn every step of the way. You will actually build the frame yourself and crucially; you’ll come away with the skills to make more. We won’t skim over details, or do things for you, we’ll teach you properly so that you do a great job to be proud of.
Bench fitting + Brazing skills – 1 day
Fitting and Design Masterclass – 1 day
Custom Frame Building – 3 days
One of the many benefits of taking a course with us is that once you have graduated you can hire the use of one of our frame-building benches to work on your own frame building projects. We keep costs down and only charge for the time you spend in the workshop and any materials you use.
£1440 + materials for the frame (these range from £100 – £400).
£410 needed to secure your spot. Balance due 4 weeks before the start of your course.
