In 2019 the MBUK team came to the workshop with a plan. They wanted to build 'The Great British Hardtail'. A bike that celebrated the best of UK bicycle manufacturing, this included making the bike right here at TBA. They project spanned 3 issues of MBUK and included the creation of a BikeRadar video. Issue 366 of MBUK featured the story of Editor Ed's experience on a Frame Building course.
Issue 368 of MBUK featured the details of the full finishing process from painting to riding.
Issue 370 of MBUK featured the story of what happened when Ed took the biketo the UK's City of steel, Sheffield.
The Global Cycling Network YouTube channel are close friends of TBA. Over the years we've acted as technical advisers and worked with them to make a selection of videos on subjects related to bicycle design and fabrication.
In 2017 GCN's presenter Simon visited the TBA workshop to help design and build a contemporary steel road bike. They made a short series of film, the last of which can be seen below.
A Few years later and GCN got back in touch. The asked us to build two bikes that would help to demystify a few important fundamentals of bicycle frame geometry.
